My favorite part of tutoring is that "lightbulb moment" when a concept a student has been struggling with finally clicks. It’s incredibly rewarding to help a student move from feeling overwhelmed by a tough math or science topic to feeling capable, organized, and confident in their own abilities.

The key is tailoring explanations to how each individual student thinks. I focus on breaking down intimidating, multi-step problems into clear, manageable pieces, while also emphasizing strong study skills and organization. When students have both a solid conceptual understanding and a reliable structure for studying, their stress goes down and their results naturally follow.

In my free time, I stay active by running, lifting, biking, and playing beach volleyball and ultimate frisbee. If I want to wind down, I'm usually playing video games or gathering friends for board games. Hands down, my favorite local spot to play is Tabletop Board Game Cafe in Ohio City!
